Brisbane, the capital of the state of Queensland, is known for its student-friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Its green parks with free BBQ are everywhere. The weather is excellent all year round with over 280 days of sun to enjoy outdoors.
It is the third most populated city in Australia after Sydney and Melbourne.

Brisbane is an affordable city; accommodation is considerably cheaper than in Sydney and Melbourne. A fairly typical budget (accommodation, food, electricity, telephone and some expenses for social activities), could add up to around $330-$500 per week.
2. Educational institutions
Brisbane offers first-rate education and there are dozens of English schools and VET vocational training centers. The best-known Brisbane universities are The Queensland University of Technology, University of Queensland and Griffith University.
3. Job oportunities
There are wide job offers and many part-time employment opportunities in Brisbane, including supermarkets, department stores, clothing stores, hotels, cafes, bars and restaurants, hotels, telemarketing, construction and cleaning sector. 4. Climate
Brisbane has a warm subtropical climate with an average of 21° C year-round. In summer the maximum temperatures reach an average of 30° C. The city receives the most amount of rain in summer. Winter is generally dry and temperate and most of its days are sunny with an average temperature of 17°C.
5. Public transportation
Brisbane prides itself of being a sustainable city and takes great care of its environment, therefore it is no wonder that public transport is one of the best ways to get around the city. With the go card you can travel seamlessly on all bus, ferry and train services throughout South East Queensland.
